Summer Muttmixer 2013

It was all paws on deck at the third annual CityDog Summer Muttmixer: Dog Day on Elliott Bay. Close to 100 people and their pooches boarded the M/V Lady Mary for a champagne cruise to beautiful Blake Island.

It was an awesome day on Elliott Bay as we departed downtown Seattle, headed for Blake Island, a 475-acre state park located just a hop, skip and a boat ride away from the city, with miles of uninhabited beaches and trails to sniff and explore.

Upon arrival at the island, pooches and people scattered as some headed straight to the beach and others decided to check out the forest trails.

After exploring Blake with their four-legged matey, the peeps were treated to a barkin' good salmon bake at Tillicum Village and the pooches were treated to a hearty box lunch of turkey loaf, veggies and treats provided by the most amazing Dorothy Moore, owner of the Dining Dog Cafe & Bakery.

Hosted just once a year by CityDog Magazine and Argosy Cruises, this one-of-a-kind, canine-friendly cruise is truly a rare opportunity for Seattle area dog lovers!
