Would you know what to do if faced with an emergency medical situation with your pet? This hands-on class will teach you life-saving pet first aid techniques, just in case. You'll receive hands-on instruction on primary emergency assessment, rescue breathing, choking management, bleeding control, heat- and cold-related injuries and CPR. You'll also learn an assessment process to use to monitor your pet’s health regularly. This four-hour workshop is for people only, so please don't bring your pet. Participants will receive a manual and course completion certificate at the end of the day.
The course will be taught by Jane Rainier. Jane has been the proprietor of Luckie Dog Wellness since 2004. She is known for her outstanding work keeping companion animals in optimal health, with a focus on massage, nutrition and energy work. Jane holds a master’s degree in Education from the University of Pittsburgh and is a nationally certified rehabilitation counselor and vocational evaluator.
